HOW TO UPDATE WEBLINK MOBILE iOS CABLE FROM PC/MAC
You may have experienced issues with your cable overheating or not working shortly after it’s plugged in. This is a direct result of the higher charging demands of the newer iPhones and iPads. There is a new version of the WLM firmware available for download which resolves this issue.
New iOS cable version is 4.5
To properly install this update, you will need to connect your Weblink Mobile cable directly to you PC or Mac and run Weblink Desktop application.
This update can’t be performed through the mobile app on your iOS device.
How to connect your Weblink Mobile Cable to your computer:
1. Unplug the 4-pin cable from your Weblink Programmer (or Weblink HUB) and put it aside.

How to connect your Weblink Mobile Cable to your computer:
1. Unplug the 4-pin cable from your Weblink Programmer (or Weblink HUB) and put it aside.
2. Connect the Weblink Mobile to your Weblink programming cable using its own 4-pin cable used to connect to devices. DO NOT apply external power to the cable.


3. Detect the Weblink Mobile in your desktop program and select the available FW update button.





Once your cable has been updated successfully, you can re-connect it to your mobile device and continue to use it with both the Weblink Mobile & Weblink Mobile RS on your iOS devices. You will no longer be prompted for this update in the mobile app.
